Big companies know how impactful organizational development and consulting psychology can be to the health of their employees and profits. Corporations spend millions every year on leadership development, change management and strategy planning.

Small business have just as much a need and a right to access the same methodology that is so effective in the big corporate world. Yet without someone to translate this knowledge and application into tools and systems relevant to a small business setting, organizational development concepts can feel overblown or irrelevant.

Philosophy

Do No Harm

  • Catalyst Consulting is sensitive to the fact that the nature of leader, team and organization effectiveness work is very personal to organizational members. Care is taken to deal respectfully with organizational members to positively and proactively address unintended consequences of organizational effectiveness initiatives.

  • On occasions when Catalyst Consulting believes the execution of a customer task will not produce the intended results or may actually cause harm to the organization or its members, the risks are described and alternatives are offered.

Meet the Customer Where They Are

  • Catalyst Consulting believes that every customer is creative, resourceful and whole. Therefore Catalyst Consulting works to meet the customer where they are with sensitivity to leader, team and organizational readiness for change, encouraging customer self-discovery.

  • It is the responsibility of the consultant to uncover, clarify, and align with what the customer wants to achieve.

Foster a Collaborative Partnership, Generating Solutions and Strategies Together

  • Experience has shown that organizational initiatives are most effectively deployed and changes embraced when relevant leaders and other stakeholders are involved in the problem resolution process.

  • Catalyst Consulting honors that the customer is the expert in their work and is most knowledgeable about what will work in his or her organization. That said, when working in an organization on a daily basis, it is difficult to notice the elements of an organizational system that may be impacting to organizational performance. The objective perspective of an outside entity, like from Catalyst Consulting, can provide useful insights.

  • Catalyst Consulting enables leader, team and organization effectiveness. More specifically, Catalyst Consulting provides expert support to leaders, teams and organizations but organizational leaders are ultimately responsible for leading their organizations.
